Hospitality Furniture

As recently as fifty years ago, most Australians took a utilitarian view of food: it provided fuel, nourishment, and sustenance for the body but was not given much attention.  A major trend that has emerged over the past few years is an emphasis on the joys of eating good food in pleasant company in a stimulating environment; and as Australia’s restaurants and cafes have embraced the trend for outdoor dining there has been a call for a different type of hospitality furniture.

Stylish European HospitalityFurniture for Australian Conditions

As recently as fifty years ago, most Australians took a utilitarian view of food: it provided fuel, nourishment, and sustenance for the body but was not given much attention.  A major trend that has emerged over the past few years is an emphasis on the joys of eating good food in pleasant company in a stimulating environment; and as Australia’s restaurants and cafes have embraced the trend for outdoor dining there has been a call for a different type of hospitality furniture.

Café and restaurant or hotel furniture that is located outdoors differs from indoor contract furniture in many important respects:

·         Space – café furniture located on footpaths needs to be slim in profile.

·         Weight – restaurant chairs and tables need to be light enough for easy shifting and stacking.

·         Hygiene – furniture used outdoors is exposed to dust and fumes and must be easy to clean.

·         Durability – outdoor hospitality furniture needs to be strongly constructed from quality materials.

·         Weather resistance – outdoor café chairs and tables need to withstand heat, cold and fading.

In Europe al fresco dining has long been a way of life, and European designers of commercial furniture are famed for their sense of style, so it was natural that we should source the best hospitality furniture from European suppliers.  When selecting our range of hospitality furniture we were careful to source products that would suit Australian outdoor conditions.

For maximum comfort we have stackable armchairs: the Dolce armchair has moulded thermoplastic seat and anodised aluminium legs, and the Madrid has a strong aluminium frame and a wicker-style seat and back woven in wire reinforced plastic.

Our range of stackable thermoplastic chairs includes Lucca, moulded in one piece, and Vita, with anodised aluminium legs.  Maya is an extra-strong one-piece chair moulded from thermoplastic reinforced with fibreglass and is load rated to 160Kg.

The Madrid chair’s wicker is dark blue, and the other hospitality chairs and armchairs in our range come in a variety of colours that are UV stable and resistant to fading in harsh sunlight.  Drainage holes in seats are a practical option.

To complement the stylish chairs and armchairs we have a range of table tops and table bases.  Our Swing table tops, 700mmx700mm, have gentle curves and are moulded from resin in a range of solid colours and finishes.  Duratop table tops are moulded in black or white resin in a range of sizes and either square or rectangular shapes.   Roma table bases have adjustable stainless steel wrap feet supporting polished aluminium poles; a single Roma table base is suitable for smaller table tops up to 800mm square, and Roma twin table bases are suitable for larger rectangular tables.

Site Systems have scoured the world to find restaurant chairs and tables that combine good design, up-to-the minute styling, and practical usability features – and work in our challenging climate.  We’re confident that our range of furniture is right for the catering and hospitality industries in Australia, and we offer 2 year guarantees on each item in our range of hospitality furniture.
